Liz Clarke aka HTBSLE (pronounced HittaBa-SeeLay) is a Caribbean-Canadian interdisciplinary artist and entrepreneur. Clarke is known in the community for her uplifting and youthful exuberance. She has a wise, soulful and enriching energy with which she artfully imbues her music production and lyrics. She is a self-taught creative whose humble origins in the arts stem from writing stories in her childhood, which sparked a passion that led to her pursuing spoken word poetry and rapping. She is committed to using her creative gifts in writing, piano composition and visual artistry to create socially and spiritually conscious projects that invite her community to deeply reflect and engage intentionally with her creative content. Clark is an award-winning community builder and an accredited youth educator who continues to actively support and mentor youth and emerging interdisciplinary creatives through her artist development workshops.

Liz Clarke alias HTBSLE (prononcé HittaBa-SeeLay) est une artiste interdisciplinaire et entrepreneure caribéenne-canadienne. Clarke est connue dans sa communauté pour son exubérance inspirante. Elle a une énergie, sage, soulful et enrichissante dont elle empreint avec art sa production musicale et ses paroles. C’est une artiste autodidacte dont les modestes origines dans les arts découlent de l’écriture de récits puisés dans son enfance, ce qui a déclenché une passion qui l’a menée à faire de la poésie spoken word et du rap. Elle est engagée à consacrer ses dons créatifs à l’écriture, à la composition pour piano et aux arts visuels pour créer des projets socialement et spirituellement conscients qui invitent sa communauté à une réflexion profonde et à un engagement volontaire avec son contenu créatif. Clark est une bâtisseuse communautaire primée et une éducatrice jeunesse accréditée qui continue à soutenir activement les jeunes et les artistes interdisciplinaires émergents, à leur servir de mentore, grâce à ses ateliers de développement artistique.
